Curaçao … 41 jaar geleden, op 30 mei 1969, vatte de hoofdstad Willemstad vlammen! Het dramatische resultaat van een arbeid-conflict.

Wat eerst was begonnen als een staking van werknemers van de Shell-olieraffinaderij … was geëindigd in smeulende gebouwen, ravage, twee doden en tientallen gewonden. Deze gebeurtenis was een historische keerpunt in de politieke, culturele en socio-economische verhoudingen op het Antilliaanse eiland.
